Why You Need To Unplug And Go Off The Grid
[Issue #51]DECLARATION FOR THE DAY:
I’m willing to slow down to get faster and better results.
(Say this 3 times today)
If there’s one thing we need in our life right now, it’s this.
I’m always connected.
Whether that’s on my phone or working online.
It feels like I am constantly connected to something or someone else’s life. Over time, this wears you down.
And you start to lose energy and often feel burned out with what you are doing.
This is why I unplug, and in this video, I share with you how I do it, so you can get into a flow state more often and perform at your best.
Let me know in the comments what you think about this video, so I can see your thoughts on unplugging. Enjoy!

WEEKLY THOUGHTS
When I was growing up, one of my dreams was to be the CEO of a million-dollar company!
But what I am finding is, that’s the wrong goal to have.
Most people get trapped in goals they “think” are going to lead them to what they really want.
But I’ve discovered that all the smartest people I know are not the CEOs of their company.
Why?
Well, CEOs are the decision-makers, they run the day-to-day, and they are needed IN the business.
I don’t personally want to be needed in the business.
Now, you’re probably wondering, if I don’t want to be the CEO, then what do I want to be?
To me, the ideal position is being just “the owner” of the company.
Where I get to coach our leaders, I get to come up with new ideas, and where I can get more capacity to focus on my strengths.
And that means that I need to shift from being inside the company to outside the company.
So, now what?
Well, now I have to focus on what I do in the business, what I love and what I don’t, and I need to start to delegate in those areas.
I’ll need to look at what leaders we can have on the team to replace me at a high level for decision-making activities.
Overall, the point is to really understand WHAT YOU REALLY WANT and what will lead to the outcome you truly want as well.
This can apply to anything in your life.
Simply ask, what are the benefits and what are the downsides of this goal or outcome? Then, if it aligns with your core values, move forward. If not, then what’s a new idea or alternative plan?
Have an epic week!
To Your Success,
Jesse Eker
