The True Secret To Making Changes In The New Year
[Issue #47]DECLARATION FOR THE DAY:
I focus on small steps that lead me to big change.
(Say this 3 times today)
We’ve all said it time and time again, yet when we look back at our “new year goals,” we rarely hit them.
I felt like a broken record each year, and I was tired of feeling let down. So a couple of years ago, I decided to make a change in the way I approached my new year goals…
I explain what I do instead in this video.
I also cover MUST-DO habits that will be critical to your success this year.
#4 is my favorite, but you’ll need to comment on the video and let me know which one you are vibing with!
Enjoy!
I just finished my first intensive of the year…
I gotta stay, it’s a true blessing doing what you love.
About 4 or 5 years ago, I did this 7-day, no complaining challenge.
And during the challenge, I talked to my dad, T. Harv Eker, about it.
I had very mixed feelings about the experience.
I liked interacting with our students (you) but really didn’t enjoy the preparation for it.
I felt like I had so much pressure to live up to my self-imposed expectations, and I was worried about being judged by students.
I ended up tabling it as a strategy, even though the students loved it. I felt I wasn’t very good at it and thought I would leave the training to Harv.
Then two years ago, I felt another calling to do something live with our students.
I knew what I was in for and decided to accept it vs. resist it.
That was a challenge I did in February, 2020.
It changed the trajectory of where I am today.
Not only did I LOVE interacting with our students…
I loved teaching, and I loved coaching.
Everything started to flow.
I ended up doing 3 last year, which were massive successes, and this year I plan on doing 6 (maybe more).
The point of the story is, sometimes our calling or purpose is hiding in things we are resisting the most.
Sometimes, we need to put ourselves through the wringer to find what we love.
NOT EVERYTHING IS PRESENTED TO YOU PERFECTLY for you to identify as your purpose.
Like anything that’s worth it, you gotta WORK to find it.
So trust the process. Don’t give up, and let me know whenever you need my support.
Let’s crush this week!
To Your Success,
Jesse Eker
